THE FIVE & DIME

Since 1963, Five & Dime has been a Melrose staple, a neighborhood candy shop built on family, late nights, and shelves stocked with sweets from around the world. Founded by Harry with one goal, keep it simple and keep it in the family.

The store grew the way most things do: slowly. Imported treats joined the shelves. Debates were had behind the counter. Candy corn never left, regardless of the season. Eventually, the shop was passed down to his boys. New chapters began.

Some ideas stuck. Some didn’t. But the foundation held. Every store needs good roots.
